‘Durham Football School For Girls’ is the place to be, everyone is super awesome; from the friends you will meet to The FA qualified coaches and volunteers who deliver the sessions.

What is Durham Football School For Girls?

IT’S OPEN TO ALL GIRLS, it is non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time and or want to play with other girls their own age. Most importantly, Durham Football School is all about having loads of fun and meeting amazing new friends.

The sessions take place on a weekly basis, after school. They provide a safe environment where girls can have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.

…..and it can lead to competitive team football, if the player wishes to join an appropriate age group team.

Durham Football School For Girls sessions, presented by Durham United Youth FC, will be run in partnership with Durham High School, one of the North East’s leading independent schools for girls. The sessions will use Durham High School’s amazing indoor facilities.

Sessions Details:

Day: Every Friday (during school term time)
Train & Play Group 1 : 4.00 – 4.50pm – Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 girls (24/25 year groups)
Train & Play Group 2 : 5.00 – 5.50pm – Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 girls (24/25 year groups)
Venue: Durham High School, Farewell Hall, South Road, Durham, DH1 3TB.
Cost: First two sessions are free, then it is £4 per session or **Term Fee (x No of

weeks/Fridays)

Typical Term Time Sessions:
Spring Term (1) – 10th Jan to 21st Feb (12 weeks)
o Half Term Closed 28th Feb
Spring Term (2) – 7th Mar to 4th Apr (5 weeks)
o Easter Holidays Closed (Fri) 11th, 18th & 25 th April
Summer dates to follow.

**All players will be provided with a football jersey upon signing up & paying Term Fee.

Lead Coach: Billy Horn, The FA’s National Coach Developer for Northeast & FA Female Game Mentor, and prior to the FA Billy was 20 years at Sunderland and Middlesbrough as Academy Coach and Player ID.
